As a member of SCVA, you can benefit from activities designed to keep you informed on industry issues that affect your business.
Legislative Representation - SCVA contracts with a registered lobbyist to represent our members and interests at the State House. As a member of SCVA, you can stay informed on significant legislative and regulatory issues affecting the vending and food service industry. It is important to be well-versed about these key issues because it provides customer credibility as to the legitimacy of your operating business.
Networking and Professional Development - SCVA members support and help one another in reaching their professional goals by sharing ideas, offering advice, volunteering and brainstorming with others who are looking to advance and learn. Members use their peers as sounding boards and make trustworthy, reliable friendships at the same time. As a member, you may find a mentor to help you with your professional needs, or you may be in a position to become a mentor to someone else.
Connections and Publicity - SCVA updates the membership on changes and developments within the industry via electronic alerts. Members have access to the membership directory and have direct contact with the association office for a variety of resources. SCVA keeps you informed about industry trends, state and national legislative issues, best practices, and more.
Scholarship Program – The SCVA Rountree-Sikes Scholarship is awarded to an employee, or child of an employee, who currently works for a SCVA member company based on several factors including financial need, GPA, SAT and extracurricular activities. Up to three (3) $1,000 scholarships may be awarded each year.
